PM SHRI Schools in Tamil Nadu.. Tamil Nadu Govt signs Memorandum of Understanding with Central Govt PM SHRI Schools in Tamil Nadu : The PM SHRI School initiative aims to establish 14,500 PM SHRI schools managed by various agencies such as the Central Government, State/UT Governments, local bodies including KVS and NVS. PM SHRI School Scheme is a notable event being implemented across India. In this case, it has been mentioned in the announcement of the Department of School Education that the Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education to implement the scheme. In this regard, a state level committee has been constituted under the leadership of the Secretary of School Education. Based on the committee's recommendations, the state will sign an MoU for setting up PM (SHRI) schools at the beginning of the next academic year 2024-25, a Tamil Nadu school education department notification said. This partnership between the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Ministry of Education is indicative of strong Centre-State relations. "We wholeheartedly welcome this initiative as it highlights our shared commitment to ensure holistic development of the students of Tamil Nadu," the ministry said in a statement.

The PM SHRI School Initiative is a centrally sponsored program of the Centre. It aims to establish 14,500 PM SHRI schools managed by various agencies like Central Government, State/UT Governments, Local Bodies including KVS and NVS. The initiative aims to provide a variety of learning experiences and ensure that all students have access to good infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning.

But while the Tamil Nadu government has signed an agreement to open these PM SHRI schools in Tamil Nadu under the new education policy scheme, the public auction has started asking questions about the Tamil Nadu government saying that it will not allow the new education policy.
