Tamilisai Resignation Accepted: President orders CP Radhakrishnan with additional charge New Delhi: After Tamilisai Soundararajan resigned from the posts of Governor of Telangana and Deputy Governor of Puducherry, President Thirupati Murmu has given additional charge to Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan. A few days ago, reports emerged that Tamilisai Soundararajan would contest the Lok Sabha elections on behalf of the BJP in Tamil Nadu, but yesterday (March 18) he resigned from the posts of Governor of Telangana and Deputy Governor of Puducherry. The resignation letter was handed over to President Drabupati Murmu. According to Tamil Nadu BJP sources, Tamilisai Soundararajan may be fielded as a candidate from South Chennai or Tirunelveli constituency in Tamil Nadu.
In this situation, after Tamilisai resigned from his post as Governor, President Drabupathi Murmu has ordered Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan to be given additional responsibility as Governor of Telangana and Deputy Governor of Puducherry.
In a press release issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan in this regard, it has been informed that the President has accepted the resignation of Tamilisai Soundararajan. Further, till regular arrangements are made, CP Radhakrishnan, who is the Governor of Jharkhand, will look after additional responsibilities as Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
