Class 10 Public Exam Begins Tomorrow: 9.38 Lakh Candidates Appear Chennai: The 10th class general examination in Tamil Nadu will start tomorrow. 9.38 lakh students are going to write this exam. The current year plus 2 general examination in the Tamil Nadu school curriculum began on March 1 and ended on March 22. The Plus 1 public examination which started on March 4 will end today (March 25).

In this situation, the 10th class general examination will be held from tomorrow (March 26) to April 8. On the first day, the examination for language subjects including Tamil is held. A total of 9.38 lakh people including 9.10 lakh students from 12,616 schools, 28,827 individual candidates and 235 inmates are appearing for the exam. In this regard, 4,107 centers have been set up across the state.

As many as 48,700 teachers are engaged as room invigilators for public examinations. 4,591 fixed and flying forces have been set up to check malpractice. Special monitoring teams have been formed under the leadership of District Collector, Principal Education Officer and Revenue Department officials.

304 question paper security centers will have 24-hour armed police on security duty. Drinking water, seating, electricity, ventilation, lighting and toilet facilities are well arranged in the examination centres.

Various restrictions have been imposed on students and teachers. It is prohibited to bring electronic and electrical devices like cell phones inside the room. Action will be taken against the student if he indulges in any irregular activities like impersonation, misbehavior with the examination officer, altering the answer sheet. A maximum of 3 years or permanent ban will be imposed. Attempts to encourage misconduct will result in the school's accreditation being revoked. The editing of the answer sheet will take place from April 12 to 22. The examination department informed that the examination result will be released on May 10.
