Pallavi Tempo - Goa's First Woman Candidate! Educationist Pallavi Tempo is the first woman to contest Lok Sabha elections in Goa. Businessman Pallavi Tempo has been given an opportunity to contest from the South Goa Lok Sabha constituency on behalf of the BJP.

Entrepreneur and educationist Pallavi Tempo is currently the president of the Indo-German Educational and Cultural Society. He did his Masters from MIT, Pune. He is also the Executive Director of Tempo Companies. Pallavi's name is also included in the list of 111 candidates announced by the BJP yesterday.

So far no women have contested in the Goa Lok Sabha elections. After this, Pallavi became the first woman Lok Sabha candidate to contest in Goa.

Presently the South Goa MP is Francisco Sardinha from Congress. Since 1962, the BJP has won only 2 elections here.

South Goa Constituency consists of 20 assembly constituencies. Pallavi Tempo's husband Nivas Tempo is the president of Goa State Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).
