Pawan Dauluri, a graduate of IIT Chennai, is the head of Microsoft Windows! New York : Pawan Dauluri, an IIT Chennai alumnus, has been appointed as the new head of Microsoft Windows and Surfos.
Panos Panay, who previously led Microsoft Windows, resigned last year to join Amazon. Following Panos' resignation, the Microsoft Windows and Surface teams were separated under separate leadership. The Surface team was led by Pawan Dauluri, an alumnus of IIT Madras. Michael Barakin led the Microsoft Windows team.

Microsoft has now reunited the Windows and Surface teams and appointed Pawan Dauluri as its new leader. Pawan Dauluri's appointment draws attention as Microsoft takes new initiatives to develop AI products.
Many Indians are working in many of the world's leading tech companies earning salaries in crores. In that respect, Pawan Dauluri has joined the ranks of Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella.
After completing his bachelor's degree from IIT, Chennai, Pawan Dauluri joined the University of Maryland in the US in 1999 and did his master's degree. After this he joined Microsoft. He has been working in Microsoft for more than 23 years .
Speaking to the Windows team about the changes made at Microsoft , Rajesh Jha of Microsoft's Experience and Devices division said, "The Windows Experience and Devices team has been brought together under the leadership of Pawan Dauluri, with the aim of fully evolving the system, Experience and Devices division for the AI era."
