The Government of TamilNadu has launched Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme to enhance the enrolment ratio of girls from Government schools to Higher Education Institutions. Through this scheme, the financial assistance of Rs. 1000/month will be provided to the girls till their completion of UG degree/Diploma/ITI/any other recognized course. The incentive amount under this scheme will be disbursed directly into the student’s Bank Account

Who is eligible for the Moovalur Ramamirtham scheme?
Girls who have studied in government schools from Class 6 to Class 10 and are currently pursuing higher education programmes or enrolled for the 2022-23 academic year are eligible for the scheme.
What is the incentive amount that girls can get with the Moovalur Ramamirtham scheme?
Eligible women will receive Rs 1000 every month that will be disbursed directly into their bank accounts.
Can women in their last year of undergraduate studies apply for the Moovalur Ramamirtham scheme?
No! Women in their last year of undergraduate study are not eligible for the scheme.
